Until June 9th, you’re going to have the opportunity to go at the new exhibition of Ricky Powell at David Kesting (NYC) titled NYC 1985 – Bushwick 2013. It is a collection of photographs from the artists archives reflecting the urban artistic and music references between these two times and cultures. The exhibition will be open to the public during the Bushwick Open Studios May 31 to June 2 and close on June 9.
On May 16th, Krause Gallery will host Pipe Dreams featuring works from Brooklyn based artists, The Yok and Sheryo. Whilst on their travels at the end of 2012, the pair found themselves in Hanoi and were inspired to create a collection of porcelain vases. They hand painted the pieces within ancient factory walls that been dedicated to their craft for centuries. Sean Morris and Scawfell Street Studios present the exhibition Magic Weirdos Never Die featuring 11 contemporary artists from 4 different countries. The line-up includes Kyle Hughes-Odgers, Berto Fojo, Luke Pelletier, Suzie Kemp, Jasper Dunk, Jon Boam. James Unsworth, Manuel Donada, Dillon Froelich, Sean Morris and many more. Join them for the exhibition opening on Thursday the 2nd of May from 6pm- 9pm at Scawfell Street Studios (6a Scawfell Street E2 8NG).

The end of this first Sosh présente Be Street Retro Movies Tour 2013 was at Paris near the famous Champ Elysée. More than 400 persons was there to watch The Goonies in the magnificent Balzac Movies Theater. The atmosphere was insane et the Parisians were in great form. Foam Hooks, pop corn and One Eye Willy… we can’t dream better conclusion to our Tour. Thanks Paris!
After Chicago, Sydney, Abu Dhabi, Taipei or London, Paris is the next city to join the Redball project. It’s Kurt Pershke who imagine this unique project. The big red ball will be in the town in several spot from April 18 to 29. Today, the Redball was near the Hotel de Ville (29 rue de Rivoli). You can see tomorrow at La Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir and at the Canal St Martin on Sunday (near the Quai De Valmy – Passerelle Grange Aux Belles). The sun was shining for the Sosh présente Be Street Retro Movies Tour 2013 at Montpellier. The locals were hospitable and fun and we had a great time with E.T. The movie was still amazing and at the end, we saw a lot of people with tears. Thanks Montpellier!

Almost all the Be Street team is from Bordeaux, so, we were impatient to share a moment with all our buddies and compatriots. Even if the weather was incredible and the temptation to go at the beach, high, the audience was present to watch the vintage movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Everybody wanted to take a picture with our gorgeous turtles mascot. We really felt the excitement and we’re sure all of you enjoyed it. It was “gavé” cool and we hope to go back in this city soon! Thanks Bordeaux!
